summer camp grading 2014

Hi all, well that for me was the best camp for many years and well done all of those that graded, a very high standard! It started with Kelly and Myself getting there at 2pm to set up, first people started arriving around 5pm. Once everyone got settled in and tents pitched (apart from the Lupi's aircraft hanger) we sat down to our Mexican night prepared by Jenny (big thank you as Jenny has been working getting food,games and prizes for the last 3 months)once eaten the kids went outside with our entertainment managers Baxter and Sean (thank you again for all your help this year). we then got most of them over for the pinata and my god did that take some beating!! Saturday morning and after a quick coffee got ready for the breakfast, unfortunately Jenny came down with a severe migrain so thank you Lorna for stepping in! we sorted the teams out for the weekend and team leaders (whom took to it fab! future instructors definitely!) The Red team Uppercuts: Tariq, Nicky, Sophie, Bailey, luaren Hand Jaden M were lead by Janie Blanco. The Blue team Hooks: Kieren, Harrison, Kira, Megan, Jaden N-H, Luke and Aaras lead by Harvey M. The green team Sidekicks: Taylor, Sean, Brogan, Zahir, Ahmad, Allesio and Lauren T lead by Nicole Blanco. The orange team Roundhouses: Ellis, Zain, Deniel, Sam, Matthew, Lucca and Roxy were lead by Ellie Willmott and Paige N-Holder. The day had mixed weather so we were in and out, outside we had organised football, volleyball, rounders and catch for the teams to take part in.Inside it was the balloon game and the loom bands. Overall winners were the Orange team congratulations and well done to all teams!!! Saturday night was BBQ night and we were joined but some parents for food and drinkie's and awards!! Best new comer went to Adults Harvey M and Paige N-H, Jnrs Luke N and Luaren T. Most improved went to Adults Jamie B and Ellie W, Jnrs Sean W and Roxy R. Best student went to Adults Toby A and Zoe D while Jnrs were Taylor C and Paige A, Well Done and well deserved!! There was also special achievment award for Joe M, and long Term achievement for Kelly C and a Life time achievement for Poalo Lupi. Sorry we did not have awards for dancing but think all would agree that poalo and Jamie would have cleaned up! Up too was Niki, Wendy, Mel. So now my Thank you's!!Camp takes a lot of organising and to help me is Jenny who unfortunately came down ill but is fine now. Kelly without you we could have not done it!!, Lorna and Maggs who stepped into the kitchen, the team leaders, the entertainment team, My matrix associate Paolo and all you students who made it as always special!! and of course the cab service of the parents!! Hopefully you all enjoyed it, looking forward to next year already! So Tuesday 15th July will be our last session at the school as we break for school hols and return on the 9th of september. Joe's classes in the week are on and also Saturday mornings at the Ewell club.
