Hi everyone,
A Happy New Year to you all!!
Well hope you had a great Christmas and are looking forward to returning to training (of course you are)but before I give you important dates for this year a quick reflection on 2011!
Firstly a massive thank you to our coaching staff Paolo,Joe, Kelly and Nick!You have been once again great in bringing on all our guys and girls with also training yourselves!
To our Newbies! Zoe, Toby along with Kelly and Nick have been helping me teaching the Kids new class which started at Green lane Primary School back in March and what a fantastic group of young people we have coming up through the ranks,(so much potential) very excited about this year for them, They already have started there gradings and have set the standard very high and I have no doubt this will continue especially when the sparring starts i can already see some great little competitors!
Joe is in Thailand at the moment and although he is on a break he has been training hard and enjoying the culture, before he went he had a fight back in November and those of you that came along I think you will agree with me he was brilliant! A massive thank you from Joe and myself to you all especially Ian and Everton, between us a formidable team.
While Joe has been away Kelly has been taking his Monday Class so get along there and enjoy!
One loss (Temporary I hope) was Paul Rutland swanning off to Australia, hope all is going well for you all!!
New arrivals came in the shape of Mia for Zoe and Lucia for Paolo, big congrats and our love to you and your families.
All the fighters that have trained so hard throughout the year and competed you have been an inspiration to us all and hopefully along with new stock will continue this year! watch this space for comp dates!

Return: Saturdays: 7th jan, Mondays: 9th jan and Tuesdays: 10th
Gradings: 7th Feb, 10th April, 3rd July and 13th November.
provisional Competition date March the 10th( subject to change)

Also I would ideas for some activities for some social gatherings!

Competition

Hi All,Well another successful competition, well done to all! And thank you all for your help and support, Thank you To Surbiton Club for once again contributing to a great afternoon!Thanks also to Mark Clouter and Dave Osbourne To Boxers (Raptors Club) who fought a hands only bought against our very own Nick Holifield and Surbitons Craig Beadle all showed great control and techniques, well done guys!
Then there was our Saty V Joe Reynolds, hands only (because they both were carrying injuries otherwise they would have been using there legs! again great control.
We also had 3 Non decision kick boxing boughts, Once again Joe (from Surb)offered (at last min) to step in to give our Usaid Mahmood his first ever fight! great 1st fight and one to look out for in the future..Thanks again Joe you were of course a true gent!
Then Nick Holifield v Darren Reynolds (his 1st fight) very nice fight great composure Nick! and I can clearly see were Joe gets his conduct from..well done.
Then came our Ben catmull v Laki, this for me was an easy bought to ref as both showed lovely technique with the respect from both fighters and especially when it was Laki's 1st fight another one to look out for in the future and a definite decision fight next time round!
Then to our decision Kick boxing Bouts,
Firstly Marcus Coyne v Daniel Quinton, last time out Daniel won this, not so this time, a fab fight with both giving there all, but
I think Daniel wont mind me saying that not enough legs from him this time, Hopefully another rematch..well Done Marcus you have been training hard and listening, it paid off!
Ten came the first of two fights for our Toby Allen v Simon Hayes,
Both fighters give it there all (as they did last time)as with the last fight of Marcus, fantastic to watch (even from inside the ring)
Toby won.Toby you have trained so hard and it showed, Brilliant!
then to the last fight and Toby's 2nd against Chritian Disley (1st fight)Both fighters being only 15 although Toby having a height advantage and it showed, When Christian got inside it worked well but could not sustain the fitness and the technical ability that was to come from Toby Awesome fight Boys again Christian being one to look out for in the future.
Thank to all my fighters you have done yourself and the club proud.. again prepared well and have worked hard so we crack on to prep for the next one..

Instructor: Joe Miles.
Also personal training available and tailored to your needs and requirement's whether it be Kickboxing or general fitness.
Like our other sessions it is mixed abilities and ages.
